Anglesey Airport Van Hire
Anglesey Airport is situated on the south coast of the Isle of Anglesey, in north-west Wales. It is located just off the A55 and operates flights to Cardiff.
The Isle of Anglesey is situated off the north-west coast of Wales. It is joined to the mainland by two bridges – the Britannia Bridge and the Menai Bridge – which both cross the Menai Strait, which at its narrowest is just 250m wide.
Anglesey's history as a populated landmass dates back to prehistoric times and ancient burial mounds, standing stones and other evidence of this is scatted around the island. Today, Anglesey has a population of around 70,000 people and is one of the main remaining strongholds of the Welsh language. The majority of town and village names on the island are Welsh and Anglesey is home to the place with the longest name in the UK – Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch! The island is known for its locally-caught fresh seafood and also has a number of other attractions to offer visitors – including Beaumaris Castle, numerous Blue Flag beaches and Bryn Celli Ddu, a well-preserved stone-age burial chamber.
Anglesey also has its own airport which is situated alongside the island's large RAF base, just south of the junction 4 on the A55, close to the village of Llanfihangel yn Nhowyn and about 10 miles from the Anglesey's largest town, Holyhead.
