The town of Fishguard is situated on the Pembrokeshire coast, in north Wales. Home to around 3,500 people, Fishguard is twinned with Goodwick, another small town close by and the location of Fishguard Harbour.

Fishguard, in Dyfed, north Wales, is located in the county of Pembrokeshire. Traditionally a fishing town, today the fishing continues and Fishguard’s twin town Goodwick is also home to a ferry service that runs to Ireland.

Fishguard Harbour is the base for the Fishguard – Rosslare ferry and also is the home port for the town’s fishing fleet. The town is on the edge of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park – one of the most beautiful regions of the UK and an area that provides a wide range of opportunities for walkers, cyclists and nature lovers. Fishguard is also noted as the location of the last ever invasion of Britain, in 1797.

Transport connections to Fishguard and Goodwick are surprisingly good, given their remote locations – the A40 London – Fishguard trunk road terminates here and Goodwick also has a railway station.

Fishguard and nearby Goodwick benefit from their own local van hire branches - with all most popular types of van available to hire locally:

  • Medium / short wheelbase vans - e.g. Ford Transit, Vauxhall Vivaro, Renault Trafic, Volkswagen Transporter
  • Small vans - e.g. Vauxhall Combo, Ford Transit Connect, VW Caddy
  • Large / long wheelbase vans - e.g. Mercedes Sprinter XLWB, Ford Transit LWB, Renault Master, LDV Maxus
  • Luton vans & box vans (3.5 tonne / 3.5t).
