Grantham, in Lincolnshire, is well known as the childhood home of former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher - now Baroness Thatcher. The town has a long industrial history, but today most large-scale employment is provided by the food industry - with both prepared food and local produce packaged in the area.

Attractions for visitors to Grantham include the Grantham Museum, St Wulframs Church, Belton House and Harlaxton Manor.

Grantham has good transport links, with the A1 running close by the town and the A52 providing access to Nottingham and Derby in the East Midlands.
