About Hinckley
The Leicestershire market town of Hinckley is home to around 45,000 people and has a history dating back to Saxon times. In the 17th century it became one of the main centres of the UK's hosiery industry, a position it held until the industry started to decline after the Second World War.

Attractions in Hinckley for visitors to the area include the 13th century medieval church of Stoke Golding and Hinckley Museum, which is housed in a row of 17th century knitters' cottages.
