Huntingdon has been established as a town for more than 800 years, having gained its charter in 1205. Today, direct rail services to London Kings Cross and Peterborough mean that it's popular with commuters and the town is within one hour's drive of both Stansted and Luton airports.

Neighbouring towns include Hinchingbrooke, St Ives and St Neots, as well as the village of Stukely - former constituency home of ex-Prime Minister John Major.
