Leeds Bradford Airport Van Hire
Leeds Bradford Airport
Leeds Bradford International Airport was established as the Leeds and Bradford Municipal Aerodrome in 1931. The first scheduled service started in 1935 but like many civil aerodromes, civilian use was stopped with the outbreak of war in 1939 and the airport became a testing base for military aircraft for the duration of hostilities.
The post-war years saw Leeds Bradford Airport grow steadily. Today, it handles well over 2.5 million passengers per year and also serves as home to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance. Plans are underway to redevelop much of the airport’s infrastructure and further growth looks likely in the years ahead.
Although Leeds Bradford Airport may not have its own on-site van hire facilities, it may well be possible to arrange for a Leeds or Bradford-based van rental company to deliver a hire van to the airport for collection. Please enquire before booking if you require this service. There are a large number of van hire companies in Leeds and Bradford, offering a comprehensive selection of rental vans:
- Medium / short wheelbase vans - e.g. Ford Transit, Vauxhall Vivaro, Renault Trafic, Volkswagen Transporter
- Small vans - e.g. Vauxhall Combo, Ford Transit Connect, VW Caddy
- Large / long wheelbase vans - e.g. Mercedes Sprinter XLWB, Ford Transit LWB, Renault Master, LDV Maxus
- Luton vans & box vans (3.5 tonne / 3.5t).
