Llandudno is a seaside resort on the north coast of Wales. Situated between Conwy and Colwyn Bay, Penrhyn Bay is also included in the Llandudno area.

The town depends heavily on tourism although it has a history of copper mining and fishing. Llandudno is well known for its award-winning pier and the Great Orme limestone headland, which divides the town's two beaches. Children will love Llandudno's pier and beaches - along with traditional donkey rides and ice creams.

Other attractions in the Llandudno area include the Great Orme Tramway, which runs from the streets of Llandudno up to the summit of Great Orme. The Conwy Suspension Bridge and Toll House are also popular as is Conwy Falls. Also popular are the Great Orme Copper Mines, where visitors can see chambers that were excavated and worked in the Bronze Age, as well as enjoy traditional cream teas in the site's tea rooms!

If the weather turns bad, Llandudno also has indoor attractions - bowling, shopping, pottery and the Home Front Experience Museum all help stave off wet weather boredom.

Llandudno's size - it is home to more than 20,000 people - means that there is a steady demand for van rental in and around the town. As a result, van hire is available locally in Llandudno - expect to be able to choose from the following types of van:

  • Medium / short wheelbase vans - e.g. Ford Transit, Vauxhall Vivaro, Renault Trafic, Volkswagen Transporter
  • Small vans - e.g. Vauxhall Combo, Ford Transit Connect, VW Caddy
  • Large / long wheelbase vans - e.g. Mercedes Sprinter XLWB, Ford Transit LWB, Renault Master, LDV Maxus
  • Luton vans & box vans (3.5 tonne / 3.5t).
