Kingston upon Thames is an attractive and upmarket borough in south west London. Designated as a royal borough, it has a long history and was the site of one of the first bridges across the River Thames.

Visitors enjoy boat trips on the Thames to nearby Hampton Court, where they can visit Hampton Court Palace, its 60 acres of gardens and its famous maze. Also close by are Kew Gardens and Ham House.

For those of a more active and youthful disposition, Kingston is also the location of the Chessington World of Adventures Theme Park – one of the UK’s leading family-oriented theme parks. The park claim that 90% of rides are suitable for children under 12 and the park also has its own zoo and sea life centre, providing plenty of fun for a whole day out.
