Shepherd's Bush is part of the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham and lies about 5 miles west of Charing Cross. It is perhaps best known as the location of the Shepherd's Bush Empire, a popular live music and comedy venue.

Shepherd's Bush is on the rail and underground networks and both stations are close to the Westfield Shopping Centre, another well-known feature. The BBC's main London centre, White City, is also located at Shepherd's Bush, on the site of the former White City Stadium, which was used for the 1908 Olympics before being demolished in 1985.
