St Johns Wood is has a long history. The area was agricultural land until 1809, when house-building began in the area. St John’s Wood is an attractive residential area that has boasted residents as well-known as supermodel Kate Moss and Beatles musician Sir Paul McCartney. It is close to South Hampstead and Kilburn High Road railway stations as well as the South Hampstead, St Johns Wood and Swiss Cottage underground stations.
