Swansea Van Hire
Swansea is the second most populous city in Wales and lies to the south of the Brecon Beacons National Park. The nearest major towns are Llanelli and Port Talbot, to the west and east respectively.
Swansea's long history started with its development as a Viking trading post – no doubt because of its coastal location in Swansea Bay, a natural harbour. Today, the city's most important transport connections are the M4 motorway and its railway station. Cardiff Airport, just 44 miles east of Swansea, is the nearest major airport.
Swansea has a long history as an industrial and mining area but the service sector dominates the city's economy today. Tourism and leisure activities are also important – Swansea Marina has more than 400 berths for leisure boats and the city's Waterfront offers a 5 mile sweep of sandy beach around Swansea Bay. It also offers a range of other attractions – including a lido, Wales' oldest Museum (Swansea Museum) and facilities for a wide range of watersports.
As a city, Swansea has a large population and a great range of businesses – most of whom need to hire a van from time to time. Van rental is readily available throughout Swansea from a range of rental operators. Expect a full range of vans to be available:
- Medium / short wheelbase vans - e.g. Ford Transit, Vauxhall Vivaro, Renault Trafic, Volkswagen Transporter
- Small vans - e.g. Vauxhall Combo, Ford Transit Connect, VW Caddy
- Large / long wheelbase vans - e.g. Mercedes Sprinter XLWB, Ford Transit LWB, Renault Master, LDV Maxus
- Luton vans & box vans (3.5 tonne / 3.5t).
