Royal Tunbridge Wells is a town in Kent. Situated close to the East Sussex border, it is home to more than 56,000 people and has its origins as a popular spa town in Georgian times. Today, the town continues to have a substantial tourist industry. Nearby tourist attractions include Hever Castle, the childhood home of Anne Boleyn, and Penshurst Place, a medieval manor house noted for its Elizabethan-style gardens.
