Whitstable Van Hire
Whitstable is a fishing town and seaside resort in Kent. Famous for its oysters, the Pearl of Kent is more than 1,000 years old and home to more than 30,000 people.
The town of Whitstable is situated in Kent. Nestled on the north coast of the county, it is about ten miles north of the city of Canterbury and a few miles west of Herne Bay. Whitstable is also only a few miles from the eastern end of the M20 motorway, providing good road connections to the M25 and further afield.
Whistable's attractions include Whitstable Castle, which is actually an 18th century manor house formerly used as a seaside home by Charles Pearson, a London businessman. Today it is used for a wide variety of events and is popular for its public gardens.
Other attractions in the area include the harbour, which has its own railway line – originally known as the Crab and Winkle line and used to transport fresh seafood to London, fast. The line was also the world's first passenger railway line and as such is inextricably linked to the birth of the seaside resort, a Victorian invention.
