{"id":1096,"date":"2009-10-04T13:51:43","date_gmt":"2009-10-04T13:51:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.vanrental.co.uk\/vanblog\/?p=1096"},"modified":"2009-09-04T14:37:08","modified_gmt":"2009-09-04T14:37:08","slug":"do-you-need-glasses-to-drive","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.vanrental.co.uk\/vanblog\/archives\/1096","title":{"rendered":"Do You Need Glasses To Drive?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;ve always needed glasses to drive and usually keep them in my van &#8211; but it&#8217;s easy to forget to take them with you when you are driving a hire van.<\/p>\n<p>If you do need glasses to drive, it is important never to drive without them &#8211; doing so is an offence.<\/p>\n<p>If you haven&#8217;t used glasses but suspect you might need them, take a look at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.simplemotoring.co.uk\/glasses-for-driving.php\" target=\"_blank\">driving test eyesight\u00a0 requirements<\/a> (basically, read a licence plate from 20m away) or take yourself along to your nearest optician for a test. It doesn&#8217;t take long.<\/p>\n<p>If you do a lot of driving, then I would wholeheartedly recommend prescription sunglasses. I recently bought a pair for the first time and they are fantastic.
