{"id":3416,"date":"2012-06-19T07:31:33","date_gmt":"2012-06-19T07:31:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.vanrental.co.uk\/vanblog\/?p=3416"},"modified":"2012-06-18T19:58:52","modified_gmt":"2012-06-18T19:58:52","slug":"sprinter-takes-fleet-van-award-for-7th-year","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.vanrental.co.uk\/vanblog\/archives\/3416","title":{"rendered":"Sprinter Takes Fleet Van Award For 7th Year"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"attachment_3088\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-3088\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-3088\" title=\"Mercedes-Benz Sprinter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.vanrental.co.uk\/vanblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/mercedes-sprinter-ecostart-sm.jpg\" alt=\"Mercedes-Benz Sprinter\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-3088\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The Mercedes Sprinter has won the Motor Transport Fleet Van of the Year award for seven years running.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The Mercedes Sprinter is a favourite of mine and is beloved of courier companies and other demanding van users throughout Europe.<\/p>\n<p>Its status as the ultimate fleet van was confirmed once again on the 13th June at the Grosvenor House Hotel in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vanrental.co.uk\/london\">London<\/a>, when it won the Motor Transport Fleet Van Of The Year Award for the seventh consecutive year.<\/p>\n<p>The awards are judged by the readers of Motor Transport magazine and so provide an accurate representation of what real van users think of their vehicles.<\/p>\n<p>The Sprinter was praised for ticking so many proverbial boxes for the selection panel, including long service intervals, good fuel economy, strong residual values and offering a wide range of weights and Euro-5 engines.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, the large panel van was rewarded for being backed by an excellent dedicated Commercial Vehicle dealer network and unrivalled reliability.<\/p>\n<p>Steve Bridge, Van Sales &amp; Marketing Director at Mercedes-Benz UK, collected the award and said of the win:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cThis is an outstanding achievement to add to an already long list of award wins for the ever-ready Sprinter.
