{"id":476,"date":"2008-12-08T11:11:11","date_gmt":"2008-12-08T11:11:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.vanrental.co.uk\/vanblog\/?p=476"},"modified":"2008-12-08T11:11:11","modified_gmt":"2008-12-08T11:11:11","slug":"morrisons-biodiesel-b30-hired-vans-dont-do-it","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.vanrental.co.uk\/vanblog\/archives\/476","title":{"rendered":"Morrisons Biodiesel B30 &#038; Hired Vans &#8211; Don&#8217;t Do It!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>If you ever fill up at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.morrisons.co.uk\/Store-Finder\/Store-services\/Petrol-stations\/\" target=\"_blank\">Morrisons fuel stations<\/a> you may have noticed that some of them are\u00a0 now offering additional alternative fuels &#8211; including <a href=\"http:\/\/www.morrisons.co.uk\/Store-Finder\/Store-services\/Petrol-stations\/Locations-with-B30-Bio-Diesel\/\" target=\"_blank\">biodiesel B30<\/a> (30% biodiesel) and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.morrisons.co.uk\/Store-Finder\/Store-services\/Petrol-stations\/Locations-with-E85\/\" target=\"_blank\">Bioethanol E85<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Van users with green consciences may be tempted to fill up their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vanrental.co.uk\/\" target=\"_self\">hire vans<\/a> with B30 biodiesel &#8211; that&#8217;s a fuel made with 30% biodiesel and 70% mineral diesel &#8211; but you probably shouldn&#8217;t.<\/p>\n<p>Not all manufacturers approve the use of B30 &#8211; and although the vehicle will probably run on the fuel without problems, use of it may invalidate the manufacturers&#8217; warranties.<\/p>\n<p>Ford, Fiat, Mercedes-Benz, Nissan, Renault, Toyota and Volkswagen are just some of the van manufacturers who have <strong>NOT<\/strong> approved the use of B30 in their vehicles.
