{"id":5394,"date":"2013-10-22T16:32:17","date_gmt":"2013-10-22T16:32:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.vanrental.co.uk\/vanblog\/?p=5394"},"modified":"2013-10-22T16:32:17","modified_gmt":"2013-10-22T16:32:17","slug":"ford-opens-100-transit-centres-across-uk","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.vanrental.co.uk\/vanblog\/archives\/5394","title":{"rendered":"Ford Opens 100 &#8216;Transit Centres&#8217; Across UK"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"attachment_5395\" style=\"width: 360px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-5395\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-5395\" alt=\"A new Ford Transit Centre specialist van dealer\" src=\"https:\/\/www.vanrental.co.uk\/vanblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/ford-transit-centre-sm.jpg\" width=\"350\" height=\"236\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.vanrental.co.uk\/vanblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/ford-transit-centre-sm.jpg 350w, https:\/\/www.vanrental.co.uk\/vanblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/ford-transit-centre-sm-300x202.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 350px) 100vw, 350px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-5395\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Hartwell Ford in Abingdon is the first Transit Centre to launch in the UK.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Ford is launching 100 \u201cTransit Centres\u201d across the UK, offering new high-tech showrooms, elevated after sales and service standards and extended opening hours.<\/p>\n<p>The new Transit Centres will provide a cutting-edge environment for Ford to showcase its next generation of commercial vehicles to customers, and will enable the launch of Ford\u2019s Transit24 aftersales programme, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vanrental.co.uk\/vanblog\/archives\/4255\">announced in February<\/a> this year, which is aimed at minimising vehicle downtime and reducing whole life costs for commercial vehicle operators.<\/p>\n<p>The 100 Ford sites will be upgraded by the end of 2014 as part of the company\u2019s on-going investment into Britain\u2019s largest dealer network.<\/p>\n<p>Each Transit Centre site employs a dedicated CV sales team as well as Ford-trained technicians and offers specialised workshop equipment, tools and training, and can manage all service, maintenance and warranty work (all Ford CVs come with a 100,000 mile\/3 year warranty).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ford.co.uk\/FordFleet\/AftersalesSupport\/Transit24\" target=\"_blank\">Transit24<\/a> will offer while-you-wait servicing to suit the customer, including regular late night appointments, and will respond within 20min to online service booking requests made through the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.1link.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\">1Link<\/a> online booking service. Collection and delivery of vehicles can also be arranged and every vehicle leaves the dealership washed and ready for work.<\/p>\n<p>Jon Wellsman, Ford customer service division director, said:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cThe launch of Ford\u2019s new Transit Centre network will provide first class sales, service, maintenance and repair for all of our commercial vehicle operators across the UK.
