{"id":5891,"date":"2014-02-27T17:03:56","date_gmt":"2014-02-27T17:03:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.vanrental.co.uk\/vanblog\/?p=5891"},"modified":"2014-02-27T17:03:56","modified_gmt":"2014-02-27T17:03:56","slug":"volkswagen-crafter-to-get-euro-vi-engines","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.vanrental.co.uk\/vanblog\/archives\/5891","title":{"rendered":"Volkswagen Crafter To Get Euro VI Engines"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-thumbnail wp-image-2050\" alt=\"Volkswagen Crafter van\" src=\"https:\/\/www.vanrental.co.uk\/vanblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/vw-new-crafter-1-sm-150x150.jpg\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/>The Volkswagen Crafter will soon be availabe with Euro VI engines, making them some of the cleanest in their class.<\/p>\n<p>The Euro VI standard is the most stringent European standard for exhaust emissions and Volkswagen says that a combination of three systems &#8212; Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR), Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) systems, and a built-in Diesel Particulate Filter &#8212; will be used to stay within the limits imposed by Euro VI.<\/p>\n<p>Volkswagen&#8217;s Euro VI range will be available on\u00a0selected Crafter models with kerbweights between 2,355 kg and 2,815 kg in medium and long wheelbases. \u00a0The firm&#8217;s Euro VI engine is a 2.0-litre TDI engine with an output of either 163 PS or 114 PS, the latter of which is new to the Crafter range. \u00a0The 114 PS EURO VI engine can also be specified with Volkswagen\u2019s BlueMotion Technology, which will provide fuel economy of up to 35.3 mpg (combined) and emissions of just 210 g\/km &#8212; not bad for a large van.<\/p>\n<p>Crafter Euro VI model prices will start from \u00a328,935 ex.
