{"id":6585,"date":"2014-09-02T16:10:45","date_gmt":"2014-09-02T16:10:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.vanrental.co.uk\/vanblog\/?p=6585"},"modified":"2014-09-02T16:10:45","modified_gmt":"2014-09-02T16:10:45","slug":"renault-trafic-gets-social-with-knight-rider-spoof","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.vanrental.co.uk\/vanblog\/archives\/6585","title":{"rendered":"Renault Trafic gets social with Knight Rider spoof"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-6586\" src=\"https:\/\/www.vanrental.co.uk\/vanblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/renault-trafic-7-sm.jpg\" alt=\"Renault Trafic\" width=\"350\" height=\"245\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.vanrental.co.uk\/vanblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/renault-trafic-7-sm.jpg 350w, https:\/\/www.vanrental.co.uk\/vanblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/renault-trafic-7-sm-300x210.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 350px) 100vw, 350px\" \/>Following on the back of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vanrental.co.uk\/vanblog\/archives\/6245\">the launch of all-new Trafic<\/a>, Renault\u2019s best-selling Light Commercial Vehicle with 1.6 million units sold, the brand has launched a video for the Web, produced in with the social media agency We Are Social.<\/p>\n<p>The film is a remake of the famous opening sequence of Knight Rider, the cult TV show featuring Michael Knight, a modern-day hero working for a philanthropic foundation, and his high-tech car equipped with a built-in, artificially intelligent computer.<\/p>\n<p>In Renault\u2019s \u2018Trafic Rider\u2019 film, available on the brand\u2019s YouTube channel, the new van plays the role of K.I.T.T. and Michael Knight has been replaced by everyday hero Michael Craftsman.<\/p>\n<p>The aim is to creatively communicate the special bond that artisan business owners have with the Renault vehicles they use for their businesses and to showcase the performance of our LCVs.<\/p>\n<p>Caroline Mecha\u00ef, Global Advertising &amp; Media Director at Renault, says:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cThis is an unprecedented initiative for a Renault LCV.
