e-NV200 concept"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"attachment_6672\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-6672\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-6672\" src=\"https:\/\/www.vanrental.co.uk\/vanblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/nissan-nv400-3-sm.jpg\" alt=\"Nissan NV400 XLWB RWD model\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.vanrental.co.uk\/vanblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/nissan-nv400-3-sm.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.vanrental.co.uk\/vanblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/nissan-nv400-3-sm-50x33.jpg 50w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-6672\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The new Nissan NV400 in extra-long, rear-wheel drive guise.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Nissan has released detailed of updates to its commercial vehicle range at the IAA Hannover show this week.<\/p>\n<h3>NV400 large van<\/h3>\n<p>The Nissan NV400 is, of course, a rebdaged Renault\u00a0Master, and the\u00a0NV400 has now been updated in-line with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vanrental.co.uk\/vanblog\/archives\/6123\">new Renault Master model<\/a>,\u00a0deliveries of which are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vanrental.co.uk\/vanblog\/archives\/6405\">due to start this month<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Among the changes are Renault&#8217;s new twin-turbo engines, which are designed to provide more power, better torque at low revs and improved fuel efficiency.<\/p>\n<p>A pair of single turbo units produce 110hp\/285Nm (previously 100hp) and 125hp\/310Nm and these are joined by the newly developed Twin Turbo units, developing 135hp\/340Nm and 165hp\/360Nm.<\/p>\n<p>Also available is a 150hp\/350Nm version of the engine that has a variable geometry single turbo and is available only with a robotised semi-automatic gearbox.<\/p>\n<p>It is estimated that the new 165hp NV400 will consume up to 1.5 litres\/100km less than its 150hp predecessor, a significant saving of up to \u20ac1,500 over three years.<\/p>\n<p>Other new features include Extended Grip, the\u00a0electronic limited slip differential system which\u00a0can be used to provide improved traction\u00a0on mud and snow, along with Hill Start Assist, Trailer Sway Control and the new Wide View Mirror, which is\u00a0essentially a blind\u00a0spot mirror fitted on\u00a0the passenger side sun visor.<\/p>\n<h3><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-6673\" src=\"https:\/\/www.vanrental.co.uk\/vanblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/nissan-navara-1-sm.jpg\" alt=\"Nissan Navara\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.vanrental.co.uk\/vanblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/nissan-navara-1-sm.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.vanrental.co.uk\/vanblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/nissan-navara-1-sm-50x33.jpg 50w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>Navara pick-up<\/h3>\n<p>The Navara now gets 17-inch\u00a0alloy wheels and Vehicle Dynamic Control,\u00a0while two new metallic body colours &#8212; bronze and grey &#8212; have been introduced.<\/p>\n<p>Trim quality has been improved on SE and LE models, and buyers can now opt for a 144hp version of the SE spec; a lower-powered engine previously only offered on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vanrental.co.uk\/vanblog\/archives\/4080\">the fleet-spec XE model<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The other two engine options are\u00a0a 190hp version of the dCi engine, while the top of the range LE models &#8211; accounting for around 10 per cent of all Navara sales &#8211; are also available with the smooth and potent 231hp 3.0L V6 diesel which is coupled to Nissan&#8217;s advanced seven-speed automatic gearbox.<\/p>\n<h3>e-NV200 luxury MPV concept<\/h3>\n<div id=\"attachment_6674\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-6674\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-6674\" src=\"https:\/\/www.vanrental.co.uk\/vanblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/nissan-e-nv200-vip-concept-sm.jpg\" alt=\"Nissan e-NV200 VIP concept\" width=\"300\" height=\"180\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.vanrental.co.uk\/vanblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/nissan-e-nv200-vip-concept-sm.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.vanrental.co.uk\/vanblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/nissan-e-nv200-vip-concept-sm-50x30.jpg 50w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-6674\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The Nissan e-NV200 VIP concept MPV<\/p><\/div>\n<p>I&#8217;ve made no secret of my admiration for the\u00a0way in which\u00a0Nissan has trialled and launched its all-electric e-NV200 van, nor for the potential it has to be <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vanrental.co.uk\/vanblog\/archives\/6308\">a genuine game changer<\/a>:\u00a0according to Nissan, in Europe, almost a third of van users never drive more than 120kms in a business day.<\/p>\n<p>This means that at least 200,000 diesel vans each year could be replaced with a zero emission\u00a0electric van, which could be charged\u00a0once a day at home or at the base.<\/p>\n<p>Nissan is continuing to press home the potential advantages of this model, this time with a luxury MPV concept vehicle aimed at urban VIP transport &#8212; a perfect application for electric vehicles.<\/p>\n<p>The high-spec concept model is an upgraded version of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vanrental.co.uk\/vanblog\/archives\/6588\">Nissan&#8217;s e-NV200 Evalia people carrier<\/a>, and comes in a two-tone metallic paint job, white leather seats and &#8216;limousine-like space&#8217;, according to Nissan.<\/p>\n<p>The cabin contains two luxury rear seats with armrests and leg rests, and the cabin houses a 21.5&#8243;
