The new Volkswagen Transporter T6<\/p><\/div>\n

Volkswagen has announced\u00a0pricing for\u00a0the latest version of its most popular van, the Transporter T6.<\/p>\n

List prices for the sixth-generation van will start from \u00a317,745 +VAT, with Kombi models priced from \u00a319,840 +VAT.<\/p>\n

Order books open on 6 July, with the first UK deliveries expected in September.<\/p>\n

More choices than ever<\/h3>\n

VW says that the new Transporter range will contain the broadest range of engines, trims and transmissions ever offered. This includes a choice of Euro 5 and Euro 6 engines,\u00a0while buyers of 140PS and 180PS models can also choose between a six-speed manual transmission and VW’s seven-speed DSG automatic gearbox.<\/p>\n

As I expected, BlueMotion fuel-saving technology,\u00a0which was previously an option, is now standard across the range.\u00a0This includes\u00a0low rolling resistance tyres, regenerative braking and Start\/Stop systems.<\/p>\n

As with the new Caddy, the Transporter T6 will be available in\u00a0three trim levels, Startline, Trendline and Highline.\u00a0Here’s\u00a0what you’ll get and what it will cost.<\/p>\n

Startline<\/h3>\n

The entry-level\u00a0Startline range is priced from \u00a317,745 +VAT.\u00a0The standard specification includes\u00a0BlueMotion Technology, DAB+ digital radio, 5-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth phone connectivity and USB connection.<\/p>\n

Trendline<\/h3>\n

Next up is Trendline, which starts from \u00a319,755 +VAT and adds\u00a0new wheel trims, a full-height steel bulkhead (panel van), body-coloured bumpers and rear parking sensors to the Startline’s standard spec. Other standard features include a multi-function display and a new cloth upholstery design.<\/p>\n

A Comfort pack consisting of foldable grab handles on A-pillars, additional storage compartments, dimmable cabin lights and additional noise suppression is also fitted as standard.<\/p>\n

Highline<\/h3>\n

Moving on up, the Highline range starts from \u00a321,315.\u00a0This is aimed at owner-drivers and\u00a0perhaps the campervan market, and the standard spec includes feel-good features such as\u00a0a new leather multifunction steering wheel, heated windscreen, automatic driving light control, daytime running lights and 16-inch Clayton alloy wheels (17\u201d Richmond alloys on T32 and\/or 180PS engine).<\/p>\n

Highline models also come with front fog lights with cornering function and a Thatcham Category 1-approved alarm as standard.<\/p>\n

Lengths, heights and weights<\/h3>\n

As with previous models, the new\u00a0Transporter will be available in a range of sizes.\u00a0Three roof height options,\u00a0four gross vehicle weights (2,600kg – 3,200kg)\u00a0and short and long wheelbase versions will be available.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
