{"id":7698,"date":"2015-08-10T14:10:57","date_gmt":"2015-08-10T14:10:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.vanrental.co.uk\/vanblog\/?p=7698"},"modified":"2015-08-10T14:10:57","modified_gmt":"2015-08-10T14:10:57","slug":"vauxhall-updates-vivaro-and-movano-vans-with-euro-6-diesels","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.vanrental.co.uk\/vanblog\/archives\/7698","title":{"rendered":"Vauxhall updates Vivaro and Movano vans with Euro 6 diesels"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"attachment_7699\" style=\"width: 360px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-7699\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-7699\" src=\"https:\/\/www.vanrental.co.uk\/vanblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/vauxhall-vivaro-combi-1-sm.jpg\" alt=\"2016  Vauxhall Vivaro Combi\" width=\"350\" height=\"207\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.vanrental.co.uk\/vanblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/vauxhall-vivaro-combi-1-sm.jpg 350w, https:\/\/www.vanrental.co.uk\/vanblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/vauxhall-vivaro-combi-1-sm-300x177.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.vanrental.co.uk\/vanblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/vauxhall-vivaro-combi-1-sm-50x30.jpg 50w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 350px) 100vw, 350px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-7699\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The 2016 Vauxhall Vivaro Combi<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Vauxhall will update\u00a0the Movano large van and the popular, Luton-built Vivaro with Euro 6 diesel engines for the 2016 model year, which is\u00a0now available to order.<\/p>\n<p>However, the updated engines will only be available for passenger-carrying models at this point, meaning that for the time being, the vans will only be available with Euro 5 engines.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;d expect this to change in the fairly near future, however, ahead of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.parkers.co.uk\/vans\/news-and-advice\/2015\/march\/what-does-euro-6-means-for-van-buyers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">September 2016 deadline<\/a> for all light commercial vehicles to be supplied with Euro 6 engines.<\/p>\n<p>In the meantime, here&#8217;s what buyers of the Vivaro Combi, Movano Combi and Movano minibus can look forward to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Vivaro Combi<\/strong>: New 1.6CDTi 125PS Bi-Turbo engine offering 320Nm of torque, boasting combined cycle fuel consumption of 49.6mpg and164g\/km of CO2.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Movano Combi &amp; Minibus<\/strong>: New 2.3-litre BiTurbo diesel engines with a choice of 145PS\/360Nm and 170PS\/380Nm.\u00a0Interestingly, Vauxhall says that both offer combined\u00a0cycle fuel consumption of 42.8mpg and 173g\/km of CO2 emissions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All the new engines have been made Euro 6-compliant with the addition of Vauxhall&#8217;s BlueInjection SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) system.
