After surprisingly slow growth in October<\/a>, new van registrations rose by 9.6% to 29,051 in November, according to the latest figures from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT).<\/p>\n

The increase takes this year’s total to 341,420 new vans, 15.7% more than during the first eleven months of 2014.<\/p>\n

Commenting on the figures, Mike Hawes, SMMT Chief Executive, said:<\/p>\n

As usual, the biggest growth was in the 2.5-3.5t category, where sales rose by 19.1% to 19,150 units — 66% of all vans registered in November.<\/p>\n
