But there are some specialist models that are only made to order in small numbers and are pretty much impossible to hire.<\/p>\n<p>One example is this 7.5t double A-frame glass carrier, which is one of two that have been\u00a0designed and built by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.vanrental.co.uk\/vanblog\/archives\/6713\">glass carrier specialist Supertrucks<\/a> for GG Glass and Glazing of Liverpool.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_8570\" style=\"width: 560px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-8570\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-8570\" src=\"https:\/\/www.vanrental.co.uk\/vanblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/supertrucks-double-aframe-1-sm.jpg\" alt=\"Supertrucks 7.5t double A-frame glass carrier\" width=\"550\" height=\"367\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.vanrental.co.uk\/vanblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/supertrucks-double-aframe-1-sm.jpg 550w, https:\/\/www.vanrental.co.uk\/vanblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/supertrucks-double-aframe-1-sm-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.vanrental.co.uk\/vanblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/supertrucks-double-aframe-1-sm-50x33.jpg 50w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 550px) 100vw, 550px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-8570\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Supertrucks designed and built two of these innovative double A-frame 7.5t glass carriers for regular customer GG Glass and Glazing.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Based on a 7.5-tonne Isuzu chassis,\u00a0the vehicles feature an innovative double A-frame design concept. This offers four facings and means sheets of glass measuring more than 3.2 metres in height and 4.5 metres in length can be crane-loaded from the rear.<\/p>\n<p>The new trucks are ideal for the large sheets of glass fitted to retail and other commercial premises by GG Glass and Glazing.\u00a0This new design is\u00a0significantly cheaper than\u00a0enclosed vehicles, without sacrificing any practicality.<\/p>\n<p>Supertrucks has used\u00a0aluminium extrusions which are powder-coated in white for an enhanced appearance and increased durability, as well as the corrosion-resistant stainless steel fixings which are the firm&#8217;s trademark.<\/p>\n<p>Roy Williams, the GG Glass and Glazing director with responsibility for transport, says that he is very happy with the new trucks&#8217; cost saving open design:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;We could have gone for a variety of configurations but when Supertrucks came up with the double A-frame design we quickly realised it would be ideal.
