The new\u00a0Peugeot Dispatch and\u00a0Citro\u00ebn Expert vans will make their global debut at the CV Show 2016 in Birmingham, on\u00a026 April.<\/p>\n

Both firms are part of\u00a0France’s PSA Group and the two vans\u00a0will be very similar to each other.\u00a0The\u00a0new Dispatch and Expert vans will be based on PSA’s EMP2 platform, which is\u00a0also used for the Peugeot 3008 and\u00a0Citro\u00ebn C4 cars.<\/p>\n

Toyota has also opted to use the Dispatch\/Expert as the basis for the new Toyota\u00a0Proace, which will be unveiled as part of Toyota’s comeback appearance<\/a> at the CV Show.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0new Dispatch\/Expert\u00a0van will be available in three lengths, ranging from 4.6m to 5.3m.\u00a0Maximum payload will be 1,400kg, while a\u00a0roof height of\u00a01.9m, should mean that most\u00a0height-restricted car parks are accessible.<\/p>\n

In addition to\u00a0the standard panel van model, crew van and minibus models will be available. All The standard van will continue to have three seats in the front, while maximum seating capacity for the Combi (minibus) model will be nine people. \u00a0There will also be a platform cab model,\u00a0opening the door to a wide range of potential bodywork\u00a0conversions.<\/p>\n

Diesel engines will all be Euro 6 and will offer a choice of power options from 95hp up to 180hp. Manual and automatic gearboxes will be available. A number of new safety and convenience features will be on offer, including hands-free sliding doors and Active Safety Brake, which is an\u00a0automatic emergency braking system designed to prevent rear-end collisions.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0MPV version of this van has already achieved a 5-star score in\u00a0the Euro NCAP safety tests<\/a>, so this\u00a0model should continue to raise the safety bar for vans, improving\u00a0occupant and pedestrian safety.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
