The town of Enniskillen has a history reaching back to at least the 15th century. The county town of County Fermanagh, it is situated towards the west of Northern Ireland.

Its long history has helped provide the Enniskillen with a number of attractions, including Enniskillen Castle, which is nearly 600 years old and has played a number of important strategic roles in its long history. Today, the castle houses two museums, the County Fermanagh Museum and the Inniskillings Museum, the museum of the Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers.
