About Brentwood

The Essex town of Brentwood is home to around 45,000 people. Just east of the M25 motorway, it is a well-located town with a large commuter population and a number of significant businesses.

Brentwood is thought to have been settled since Saxon times and the earliest Christian ring known to exist in the UK was found in the area in the 1940s - it now resides at the British Museum and is known as The Brentwood Ring.

Popular attractions in and around Brentwood include Ingatestone Hall, a 16th century Tudor manor house. Although it is still inhabited, tours are popular and special events, including weddings, can be held at the hall. In Brentwood itself, Brentwood Museum provides a look back at life in Brentwood in the 19th century. Based in a small cottage, the museum is conveniently close to Lorne Road Nature Reserve, another popular attraction.

Van hire in Brentwood is readily available - the town's sizeable population means there is a strong demand for van rental and local hire branches offer a wide range of vehicles:

  • Medium vans - e.g. Ford Transit Custom, Vauxhall Vivaro, Renault Trafic, Volkswagen Transporter
  • Small vans - e.g. Vauxhall Combo, Ford Transit Connect, VW Caddy
  • Large / long wheelbase vans - e.g. Mercedes Sprinter XLWB, Ford Transit LWB, Renault Master
  • Luton vans & box vans (3.5 tonne / 3.5t).
