About Guernsey Airport
Guernsey Airport is situated to the south of Guernsey, approximately 5 miles from the island's capital, St Peter Port. Although first established in 1939, regular air services did not commence at Guernsey Airport until 1946, due to the impact of the Second World War. About three quarters of the aircraft movements at the airport are commercial - a mixture of cargo flights, scheduled passenger services and holiday charter flights - with the remainder being general aviation.
As well as flights to some mainland UK and continental European airports, Guernsey Airport also provides scheduled flights to some of the other Channel Islands, including Alderney and Jersey.
