About London Woolwich

The south London district of Woolwich is perhaps best known for its historical links to the UK's armed forces. Woolwich Dockyard and the Royal Arsenal are both located in Woolwich. The latter started out as a storage facility for naval supplies and gradually expanded into a large manufacturing facility, employing many thousands of people.
