Manchester Airport has grown into the UK's largest regional airport. It handles more than 22 million passengers per year and in 2007/8, there were 220,307 aircraft movements at the airport. More than 100 airlines fly from Manchester Airport, serving more than 220 destinations.
The airport has two runways, three passenger terminals and a freight terminal - as well as almost 16,000 passenger car parking spaces and its own railway station. Manchester Airport is also the home of one of the last remaining Concorde aircraft, which is displayed along with a number of other historic aircraft at the airport's Aviation Viewing Park.
