Specialist van hire website MyLocalVanHire.co.uk has found that medium-sized panel vans such as the Ford Transit SWB and Renault Trafic are the choice of 60% of UK van hire customers. It has analysed the van type and location requirements of its visitors to learn more about what customers want and where they want it.
MyLocalVanHire.co.uk is the UK's leading specialist van hire website and draws visitors looking for van hire all over the UK. The website specialises in allowing visitors to search for all of the van hire companies in a certain location, helping them find the cheapest van hire deals.
Medium-sized vans are the most popular by far, meeting the requirements of 60% of renters who appreciated the ability of these vans to swallow up a small removals job but be little different to a car to drive. Just 9% of renters opted for car-derived small vans and Luton box vans - the smallest and largest vans commonly available - while the remaining 22% of renters opted for a long wheelbase panel van, boosting available load space without compromising on driveability.
London Tops Search Requests
Based on an analysis of 164,384 user searches on the MyLocalVanHire.co.uk website, the top location for van hire is London, with the search term including the word 'London' being used 2.5 times more often than the next most popular van hire location, Birmingham.
However, specialist website MyLocalVanHire.co.uk's search data shows that van hire is a universal requirement - wherever you live. The website's search history contains 1,726 locations that have been searched for at least three times.
