MyLocalVanHire.co.uk Celebrates 4 Years & 1.5m Visitors
Leading van hire website MyLocalVanHire.co.uk is celebrating four years in business and nearly 1.5m visitors. The website now lists more than 720 branches in 400+ locations.
Van hire search engine MyLocalVanHire.co.uk was launched in May 2007 and has just celebrated its 4th birthday. Today, it lists details of more than 720 van and minibus hire branches, in over 400 locations.
MyLocalVanHire.co.uk's search engine allows visitors to enter their location by name or by postcode and see all the van hire companies in that area displayed on a map. They can then click through directly from the map to the hire company's website, ready to get a quote or make a booking.
Over the last four years, MyLocalVanHire.co.uk has helped almost 1.5 million visitors find a local hire van or minibus. Nearly 300,000 people have used the website's Van Size Guide, which provides typical payload and load space dimensions for all popular types of hire van.
"When I launched MyLocalVanHire.co.uk, I wanted to create a site that would help drivers who didn't know about vans work out what they needed to hire and where they could hire it", says MyLocalVanHire.co.uk founder Roland Head.
"I also wanted to create a website where small, independent van hire companies could advertise on equal terms alongside big brand hire companies. I'm pleased that we've been able to do this - all our search results are listed geographically and no preference is given to anyone."
According to the website's historical search data, London remains the most popular location for van rental in the UK, with Birmingham and Manchester running neck and neck for second place.
