About Stowmarket

Stowmarket is a market town in Suffolk that is home to more than 19,000 people. It sits on the main railway line between London and Ipswich and is one of the oldest towns in the region, with a market charter that dates from 1347.

Stowmarket's church of St Peter and St Mary dates from the 14th century and is popular with visitors, as is the Museum of East Anglian Life, which is situated on a 70 acre site close to the town centre.

The town is also home to the John Peel Centre for Creative Arts, which regularly plays host to a variety of artists and is named after the late John Peel, who used to live nearby.

Stowmarket is big enough to require a mixture of local facilities and services and van hire is available from branches within the town. Expect to be able to hire a typical range of vans:

  • Medium vans - e.g. Ford Transit Custom, Vauxhall Vivaro, Renault Trafic, Volkswagen Transporter
  • Small vans - e.g. Vauxhall Combo, Ford Transit Connect, VW Caddy
  • Large / long wheelbase vans - e.g. Mercedes Sprinter XLWB, Ford Transit LWB, Renault Master
  • Luton vans & box vans (3.5 tonne / 3.5t).
