About Stratford International Station
Stratford International Station opened in 2009. Located at Stratford in the London Borough of Newham, the station was developed in co-ordination with the infrastructure required for the 2012 London Olympics Park, which lies nearby.
The station itself provides access to Southeastern trains on the HS1 line from St Pancras, and is also a stop on the Docklands Light Railway. The location of Stratford International means that it is effectively an island! Tracks to and from the station descend into tunnels as soon as they leave the platforms.
