About Wrexham
Wrexham is the largest town in North Wales and is located just 12 miles from Chester, county town of Cheshire, in England. Wrexham is a historic town, with the earliest known settlement on the site dating back to 1161.
The town rapidly expanded during the Industrial Revolution, with the birth of industries such as tanning, ironworks, brewing and coal mining resulting in Wrexham's steady expansion. The town was made a borough in the 19th century and today the Wrexham County Borough is home to more than 130,000 people, with more than 45,000 living in the town itself.
Today, Wrexham is perhaps best known for the Wrexham Industrial Estate. Home to more than 250 businesses, it is one of the largest in the UK. The borough is now home to the research and manufacturing offices of some of the world's largest companies, as well as many smaller UK-based companies.
Such a diverse mixture of economic activity and residential housing means that van hire is always in strong demand in Wrexham. This demand is met by a mixture of local and national hire companies, all offering a wide selection of vans for rent:
