Crawley is in West Sussex, around 28 miles south of London and about 20 miles from the south coast of England. The town offers good access to the south-east, London and the Home Counties thanks to its proximity to the M23 and the M25.
Although historically a market town, today it is home to a range of light industry and other business concerns. Crawley's proximity to Gatwick Airport has doubtless helped it to grow and prosper, as has its closeness to London and good access to the M25 via the M23 motorway. Crawley's population hovers around 100,000 but has grown rapidly in the last 50 years - increasing by a staggering 1000%, thanks to its designation as a new town in 1947.
Crawley also benefits from direct rail links to London Victoria and London Bridge as well as Gatwick Airport. Crawley is one of the oldest towns in the region, with a history that stretches back at least to the 13th century. The town has always benefited from being on the main route from Brighton to London - these days known as the A23/M23! The town also has its own rugby and football clubs, as well as a golf course and numerous other sports clubs.
Crawley is a popular regional centre for retail, industry and business - as well as a major residential area. Given that, it's no surprise that van hire in Crawley is very easy. The town has several major van hire companies - all of whom offer a wide selection of rental vans:
