Battersea is an area of central London. Situated on the south bank of the River Thames, it is part of the Borough of Wandsworth and is close to Clapham Common, Vauxhall and Lambeth.

Battersea is well known for its disused power station – despite many years and many suggestions, it has yet to be redeveloped and remains an empty but imposing landmark.
