About Cannock

Cannock is a town in Staffordshire that is home to around 28,000 people and lies close to the M6, M6 Toll and M54 motorways. It is part of the Cannock Chase district - a rural area best known for its woodland and which is the smallest Area of Outstanding National Beauty in mainland UK. Cannock Chase lies roughly within the triangle formed by Rugeley, Cannock and Stafford.

The town's history stretches back to at least 1086, when Cannock was mentioned in the Domesday Book as Chenet. Cannock grew rapidly in the 19th century as the coal mining industry expanded and today, this industrial heritage is celebrated in the Museum of Cannock Chase, a popular attraction locally.

Cannock's businesses and residents generate a steady demand for van hire and this need is met by van rental companies in the local area, offering a broad selection of vehicles:

  • Medium vans - e.g. Ford Transit Custom, Vauxhall Vivaro, Renault Trafic, Volkswagen Transporter
  • Small vans - e.g. Vauxhall Combo, Ford Transit Connect, VW Caddy
  • Large / long wheelbase vans - e.g. Mercedes Sprinter XLWB, Ford Transit LWB, Renault Master
  • Luton vans & box vans (3.5 tonne / 3.5t).
