About Congleton

Congleton is a town in Cheshire. Home to more than 25,000 people, it was once a major mill town. Today, many of the town's residents commute to nearby Manchester, but Congleton does retain some light industry and much of its architectural heritage has been preserved.

Among the attractions for visitors to the area is Little Moreton Hall. This spectacular timber-framed Tudor house is just 4 miles from the town and dates back to the early 16th century. The house and its garden are popular draws during the summer months.
