About Daventry

Daventry is a market town in Northamptonshire. Home to more than 25,000 people, it's a sizeable settlement with a location which makes it popular with both commuters and transport and manufacturing businesses.

The town has a surprising number of Grade I and II listed buildings and retains its historic market, which still runs twice a week. Daventry is also known among 20th century military historians as the birthplace of radar.

Although Daventry doesn't have any rail connections, its location within 25 miles of Coventry, Royal Leamington Spa and Rugby make it a popular base for commuters. Road connections are excellent, with both the M40 and the M1 in easy reach from the town.
