About Burnley

Burnley is a Lancashire town with a long industrial history. Like many Lancashire towns, it was once predominated by the textile industry - Burnley was home to a number of cotton mills. Times have changed and the town now has a more varied selection of businesses.

Burnley is situated just to the south of the Lake District and has a number of attractions for visitors, including spectacular walks on the surrounding moors, at least one brewery and several local museums.

Although many Burnley residents now commute to nearby Manchester, Blackburn and Preston, the town remains well-connected, with a railway station, direct access to the M65 motorway and no fewer than four airports within an hour's drive, including Manchester Airport, from which a wide range of domestic and international flights are available.

The size and location of this town mean that it there is a steady demand for van hire in Burnley, served by local van rental companies offering a standard selection of hire vans:

  • Medium vans - e.g. Ford Transit Custom, Vauxhall Vivaro, Renault Trafic, Volkswagen Transporter
  • Small vans - e.g. Vauxhall Combo, Ford Transit Connect, VW Caddy
  • Large / long wheelbase vans - e.g. Mercedes Sprinter XLWB, Ford Transit LWB, Renault Master
  • Luton vans & box vans (3.5 tonne / 3.5t).
